The SuperSound Band Booster organization is the primary means of financial support for the entire Band program. They meet regularly in the Band Room at 6:00 PM on the second Tuesday of every month. All parents are invited to attend – you don’t have to be a Board Member to come to the Booster meetings! In order for the Band to reach its full potential, parental participation is a must! There are many different ways to help; you can chaperone at games, contests, or trips; help plan fund-raising activities; load instruments and equipment, or work concession stands. The successful operation of the band program depends on our parents!
We require all chaperones to be either a parent or legal guardian. Parents interested in volunteering must attend a chaperone training meeting set up and run by the Director, as well as fill out the school system’s “Affidavit of Good Moral Character.” Contact the Chaperone Coordinator (see the list below) to volunteer for specific events or venues. Bear in mind that the only people allowed to chaperone out-of-town events are those with experience at events closer to home (concession stands or in the stands with the band).
